Yehuda and Shirly Shaulian (יהודה שאוליאן שירלי שאוליאן) present themselves as very respected members of the Raanana community. Yehuda gives shiurim and is a partner in the firm Yehuda and Amir Shaulian (Amir being his brother). We rented a house (78 Zipman RD, sometimes spelled Tzifman) from Yehuda and Shirley immediately after making Aliyah with our 5 children in 2011. Yehuda and Shirley lived in this house 2 years prior to us moving in. We soon found that the house had major moisture issues which Yehuda and Shirley attempted to cover-up. They also did not respond to us whenever we trued to contact them about defects in the home. Although they are both lawyers, they had no regard for their responsibilities in the lease. They took advantage of the fact that we were new olim, and tried to intimidate us with legal actions (easy for them, since they are lawyers) rather than simply living up to their responsibilities. In this blog I will try to detail our experiences, and detail some stories which I have heard from others who have also had bad experiences with them.
